On April 29 – 30, 2020, the Institute of Philology, Foreign Languages and Media Communication of Irkutsk State University will host the international conference "Information and Communication Technologies and Interactive Methods in Teaching International Students", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Department of Russian as a foreign language.

The conference is planned to be held in two sections:

• Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language
• Teaching of professional disciplines in bachelor's and master's programms

The conference focuses on all types of interactive organization of the educational process, methods of active learning, information and communication technologies and innovative types of teaching international students.

A wide range of issues is proposed to discussion:

• Methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of digital humanities.
• Experience in working with new textbooks and teaching materials.
• Experience in the use of MOOC, online resources and implementation of blended learning.
• Experience in the development of new textbooks, online courses, and media tutorials.
• Organization of project work in teaching Russian as a foreign language and professional disciplines to a foreign audience.
• Museum pedagogy, study tours and other extracurricular activities in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
• Learning through play technologies.
• Practical application of nationally oriented methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language and professional disciplines.
• Application of active learning methods in teaching professional disciplines.
• Organization of international students' research work.
• Use of audiovisual teaching resources.
• Experience in teaching regional country studies to a foreign audience.
• Adaptive learning technologies.
• Innovative assessment techniques.
• Interactive forms of working with literary texts in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

Teachers of higher educational institutions and additional education organizations who have their own original courses and teaching materials as well as graduate and PHD students of the major disciplines "Russian as a Foreign Language", "Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language" are welcome to participate. Papers are supposed to be in the form of presentations of original teaching materials and syllabi.

A conference volume will be published till December, 31 2020.

The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
